I had the wonderful opportunity and privilege to educate myself by talking to and researching the organization One Blood. I was able to see first hand how a Democratic leadership style plays into a sometimes hectic and high stakes occupation. I chose this organization because of the sole purpose of helping people who are in need. People need blood for numerous of circumstances that you don't regularly consider, some of them include: surgeries when people come in with traumas, even different illnesses and disorders that cause people to need bags of blood every other week in order to survive. Not only were the employee's professional but they also were positive about everything they did which stuck out to me. Having the strength of an advocate, this is a action that i can get behind to support. I have seen first hand how life changing this company has been to other individuals. A simple and easy way to help out would be to find your nearest blood drive so you can donate. A decision to donate your blood can save a life, or even numerous by separating your blood into different components like these blood banks do.
